Job Title: Payroll Consultant
Location: Makati City
Salary: 25,000 - 40,000 pesos
Duration: 1yr - 1.5 yrs


Job Objective:
The Payroll Officer shall manage payroll processing across all businesses. He/she shall be responsible in coordinating with Employee Resources Division regarding changes and updates in the Employee Profile. He/she will ensure that remittances are reflected in the payroll in an accurate and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the periodic processing of payroll for all employees. Coordinate with Treasury to ensure the availability of funds upon release of payroll.
Maintain the confidentiality and safekeeping of all payroll and auxiliary records for all employees.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all payroll-associated reports.
Supervises the preparation/ recording of payroll of all employees and ensures correct and timely remittance of all payroll deductions.
Responsible in the administration of the payroll system and coordination with the software provider for post implementation support.
Coordinates with Employee Resources Division for the creation and update of the employee master file in the payroll system.
Act as liaison to the Social Security System (SSS) regarding problems/questions of SSS salary loan, SSS premium, PhilHealth contributions, retirement and other benefits and supervises the preparation of payroll related reports required by them and the Pfizer COOP.
Authorize SSS premium/HDMF contribution certifications for various SSS loans/retirement/disability and other payroll-related documentation required for availment.
Supervises the preparation of payments of sales force incentives.
Supervises the computation, reporting and payments of taxes withheld on wages of individual employees.
Initiates systems and procedures involving payroll.
Checks journal vouchers of all employee cash advances.
Coordinates with other departments regarding new or modified payroll and withholding tax systems and procedures.
Ensure payroll staff receives the proper training in payroll procedures and systems processing.
Develops objectives and strategies on tasks to ensure implementation and successful achievement of all plans.
Formulates, together with the immediate supervisor, individual performance objectives to enhance job knowledge, technical skills and overall effectiveness on the job.
Performs any other duties relating to Payroll as assigned by the Financial Controller.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or equivalent combination of experience
MBA Preferred
With 1-3 years of relevant business experience in the field of payroll or related accounting work.
Exposure in a multinational/distribution environment or pharmaceutical industry preferred
Highly technical skills particularly in financial analysis, and tax-effective schemes

Computer literate; comfortable in handling financial systems and application softwares

Ability to work with high level of management
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
