Historic site interpreter Full-time

Title: Historic site interpreter (Fee Collection & Visitor Orientation)

Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Weekend, Day

Salary: $10.65 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: 2012/04/30

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (5 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:

Education: Some high school, Some university

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required

Experience: Experience an asset

Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read English, Read French, Write English, Write French

Establishment / Work Setting Experience: Heritage/historical site, Interpretive centre

Area of Technical Specialization: Interpretation/guiding

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving

Other Information:The purpose of the position is to collect fees in both official languages, fill staffing requirements for historic rooms, and to interact with visitors to enhance their visit.
